STEM

  • At our school, we are committed to nurturing curiosity and fostering a love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) among our youngest learners in Foundation Stage Level 1 (Kindergarten) and Foundation Stage Level 2 (Grades 1 and 2).Our approach to STEM activities is designed to be engaging, hands-on, and age-appropriate, tailored to the developmental stages of each grade level.
  • For Kindergarten students, STEM activities often involve simple experiments and exploration to introduce foundational concepts such as basic shapes, colours, and patterns through activities like building structures with blocks or exploring the properties of water and other materials.
  • As students progress into Grades 1 and 2, STEM activities become more structured and focused on developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students might engage in projects like constructing simple machines, conducting basic experiments to learn about forces and motion, or using technology tools for interactive learning experiences. Throughout these activities, our goal is not only to impart knowledge but also to cultivate skills such as collaboration, creativity, and perseverance. By integrating STEM into the early years of education, we aim to prepare our students for future challenges and inspire them to pursue further exploration in these fields as they continue their academic journey.
